What is a CRP2 battery?

CRP2 — packs may say CR-P2, DL223A, EL223A / EL223AP, 223A, 5024LC or CR17-33 — is a 6-volt lithium photographic pack. Nikon N6000 and AF3 (One-Touch) on this site each take one CRP2 / DL223A. It is not a single CR2 cylinder and not a 2CR5 pack — see CRP2 vs CR2 vs 2CR5. BR-P2 is a rare different lithium subclass, not a pack rename.

What do the letters in CRP2 mean?

Under the IEC naming system, C is the assigned code for lithium–manganese dioxide — not taken from the spelling of those chemicals — and R means round (coin or button). The numbers encode size. Same diameter with a different first letter is a different battery. Full guide: CR vs LR vs SR.
