Nikon AF3 (One-Touch) battery
1 × 6V lithium cell

How to replace it
| Notes | Replace the 6V CR-P2 / DL223A pack when the camera will no longer power AF/flash cycles. Confirm polarity marks in the chamber. |

New battery but still not working?
A fresh 1 × CRP2 should restore Nikon AF3 if the battery was the problem. Work through the checks below before replacing the device.
- Check the battery type
This device needs 1 × CRP2 (lithium). Rechargeable cells are not supported for this device. Same size does not always mean the same battery.
- Check known model-specific issues
Nikon markets AF3 (One-Touch) and AD3 (date) as the same power architecture — one CR-P2 / DL223A. Not interchangeable with CR2 or 2CR5 packs. Keep lithium packs away from children.
- Confirm the battery itself
Try a known-good fresh cell of the exact code listed above.
- Still not responding?
If a correct, fresh battery installed properly does not restore the device, the fault may be elsewhere — the device may need service or replacement.
