N is a 1.5-volt alkaline cylinder (also sold as LR1, E90, MN9100, AM5). Motorola Talkabout MHP81 and MHP71 electronic earmuffs each take two N cells per ear cup (four total). Not interchangeable with A23/A27 12V remotes cells.
