TE U5601 (CR2050W option) battery
1 × 3V lithium coin cell
TE/Althen U5600 datasheet: U5601-xxx3xx / M5601-xxx3xx shall use only the Murata CR2050W cell. Confirm the battery-option digit before buying — options 1 and 2 are CR2032 SKUs.
How to replace it
| How to open | Replace the coin cell per the M5600/U5600 installation manual for your battery-option SKU. Use only Murata CR2050W for option 3. |
|---|---|
| Orientation | As marked in the transducer battery compartment |
| Re-pair after change | Yes |
| Access | Tool-free |
| Notes | Confirm the battery-option digit in the order code before buying cells. No battery ships with some U5600 configurations. |
Important
- CR2050W is an OEM wide-temp variant — not an automatic plain CR2050 or CR2032 swap.
- U5601 options 1 and 2 require CR2032 (Panasonic/Energizer or Sony/Murata) — different SKUs.
- Industrial sensor — follow TE installation and ESD/ATEX notes for certified models.

New battery but still not working?
A fresh 1 × CR2050W should restore TE Connectivity U5601 (battery option 3 — CR2050W) if the battery was the problem. Work through the checks below before replacing the device.
- Check orientation
Confirm the cell is seated correctly: As marked in the transducer battery compartment
- Check the battery type
This device needs 1 × CR2050W (lithium). Rechargeable cells are not supported for this device. Same size does not always mean the same battery.
- Check known model-specific issues
Re-pairing or a short reset may be required after a battery change. CR2050W is an OEM wide-temp variant — not an automatic plain CR2050 or CR2032 swap. U5601 options 1 and 2 require CR2032 (Panasonic/Energizer or Sony/Murata) — different SKUs. Industrial sensor — follow TE installation and ESD/ATEX notes for certified models.
- Confirm the battery itself
For most coin cells, fitting a known-good fresh cell of the correct code is simpler than capacity testing.
- Still not responding?
If a correct, fresh battery installed properly does not restore the device, the fault may be elsewhere — the device may need service or replacement.
Replacing the device?
TE Connectivity U5601 (battery option 3 — CR2050W) is still sold new. Only consider a replacement if the checks above did not help.
