1 × 3V lithium coin cell
How to replace it
| How to open | Open the battery door on the sensor body, install the provided CR2050 coin cell, then reseat the door before registering the gauge in the Chesterton Connect app. |
|---|---|
| Orientation | Match polarity marks in the battery compartment / installation diagram |
| Re-pair after change | Yes |
| Access | Tool-free |
| Notes | Industrial pressure sensor — follow PPE and process-fluid compatibility warnings in the installation guide. Dispose of used coin cells per local law. |
Important
- OEM specifies CR2050 — not a thinner CR2032/CR2025 drop-in.
- Intended for industrial/commercial environments; verify pressure range and fittings before install.
- Coin cells are a swallowing hazard — keep new and used cells away from children.

New battery but still not working?
A fresh 1 × CR2050 should restore Chesterton Connect Gauge if the battery was the problem. Work through the checks below before replacing the device.
- Check orientation
Confirm the cell is seated correctly: Match polarity marks in the battery compartment / installation diagram
- Check the battery type
This device needs 1 × CR2050 (lithium). Rechargeable cells are not supported for this device. Same size does not always mean the same battery.
- Check known model-specific issues
Re-pairing or a short reset may be required after a battery change. OEM specifies CR2050 — not a thinner CR2032/CR2025 drop-in. Intended for industrial/commercial environments; verify pressure range and fittings before install. Coin cells are a swallowing hazard — keep new and used cells away from children.
- Confirm the battery itself
For most coin cells, fitting a known-good fresh cell of the correct code is simpler than capacity testing.
- Still not responding?
If a correct, fresh battery installed properly does not restore the device, the fault may be elsewhere — the device may need service or replacement.
Replacing the device?
Chesterton Connect Gauge is still sold new. Only consider a replacement if the checks above did not help.
