How to replace it
| How to open | Twist the battery cap open by hand, or use a coin / the provided battery spacer — do NOT use a screwdriver. For CR2050: insert the cell with the ribbon between battery and contact, then close the cap. For CR2032: use the included spacer as shown in the CR2032 installation diagram. |

Important
- CR2050 is recommended; CR2032 needs the included spacer — thickness differs (≈5.0 mm vs ≈3.2 mm).
- Sensitive diaphragm inside the pressure port — do not insert objects into the port.
- Coin cells are a swallowing hazard — keep new and used cells away from children.

New battery but still not working?
A fresh 1 × CR2050 should restore Motionics BluePSI Bluetooth Pressure Sensor if the battery was the problem. Work through the checks below before replacing the device.
- Check orientation
Confirm the cell is seated correctly: Keep the ribbon between the coin battery and battery contact so the cell can be removed easily
- Check the battery type
This device needs 1 × CR2050 (lithium). Rechargeable cells are not supported for this device. Same size does not always mean the same battery.
- Check known model-specific issues
Re-pairing or a short reset may be required after a battery change. CR2050 is recommended; CR2032 needs the included spacer — thickness differs (≈5.0 mm vs ≈3.2 mm). Sensitive diaphragm inside the pressure port — do not insert objects into the port. Coin cells are a swallowing hazard — keep new and used cells away from children.
- Confirm the battery itself
For most coin cells, fitting a known-good fresh cell of the correct code is simpler than capacity testing.
- Still not responding?
If a correct, fresh battery installed properly does not restore the device, the fault may be elsewhere — the device may need service or replacement.
