Important

  • OEM allows SR41 or LR41 — related size family, not identical chemistry. Prefer the chemistry printed on the installed cell when replacing.
  • Medical device: button-cell swallowing hazard — keep cells away from children.
  • Confirm the model printed on your unit (TG380) before buying.

Helpful for this device

Optional tools for opening, testing or charging — separate from the battery answer.

Amazon links may earn us a commission. They do not change the battery answer.

  • Digital multimeter

Measure open-circuit voltage and general electronics checks

Voltage alone does not establish usable capacity, especially for rechargeables.

New battery but still not working?

A fresh 1 × SR41 should restore Rossmax TG380 if the battery was the problem. Work through the checks below before replacing the device.

  1. Check orientation

Confirm the cell is seated correctly: Positive (+) side facing up; negative (−) facing down

  2. Check the battery type

This device needs 1 × SR41 (silver_oxide). Rechargeable cells are not supported for this device. Same size does not always mean the same battery.

  3. Check known model-specific issues

OEM allows SR41 or LR41 — related size family, not identical chemistry. Prefer the chemistry printed on the installed cell when replacing. Medical device: button-cell swallowing hazard — keep cells away from children. Confirm the model printed on your unit (TG380) before buying.

  4. Confirm the battery itself

For most coin cells, fitting a known-good fresh cell of the correct code is simpler than capacity testing.

  5. Still not responding?

If a correct, fresh battery installed properly does not restore the device, the fault may be elsewhere — the device may need service or replacement.

Replacing the device?

Rossmax TG380 is still sold new. Only consider a replacement if the checks above did not help.
