Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) has a built-in rechargeable battery per Ring support. Charge the unit after removing it from the bracket. Do not buy AA/AAA or assume a Quick Release pack fits.

How to replace it

How to openRemove the security screws on the bottom. Lift the doorbell up and away from the mounting bracket (Battery Doorbell may need the remove tool). Connect the charging cable to the doorbell’s charging port (remove rubber cap if present). Charge until the circular LED shows a solid full charge, then remount and reinsert the security screws.
