Charge the doorbell — not a disposable-cell design
Ring Video Doorbell (1st Gen) has a built-in rechargeable battery. Remove it from the bracket and charge the doorbell’s port — this is not a Quick Release slide-out pack and not a disposable-cell design.
How to replace it
| How to open | Remove the security screws on the bottom. Lift the doorbell up and away from the mounting bracket (Battery Doorbell may need the remove tool). Connect the charging cable to the doorbell’s charging port (remove rubber cap if present). Charge until the circular LED shows a solid full charge, then remount and reinsert the security screws. |
