Govee’s hygrometer specs FAQ lists model 5074 / H5074 as CR2477. Do not confuse with H5075 (2× AAA) or H5101/H5105 (CR2450).
How to replace it

- H5075 uses 2× AAA — do not conflate with H5074’s CR2477.

New battery but still not working?
A fresh 1 × CR2477 should restore Govee H5074 if the battery was the problem. Work through the checks below before replacing the device.
- Check orientation
Confirm the cell is seated correctly: Match +/− as marked in the compartment
- Check the battery type
This device needs 1 × CR2477 (lithium). Rechargeable cells are not supported for this device. Same size does not always mean the same battery.
- Check known model-specific issues
H5075 uses 2× AAA — do not conflate with H5074’s CR2477. H5101 / H5105 use CR2450 — different thickness. Keep coin cells away from children.
- Confirm the battery itself
For most coin cells, fitting a known-good fresh cell of the correct code is simpler than capacity testing.
- Still not responding?
If a correct, fresh battery installed properly does not restore the device, the fault may be elsewhere — the device may need service or replacement.
