CompuStar CM1000-K (R150) battery
1 × 12V alkaline cell
CompuStar CM1000-K (R150) uses one 27A / A27 cell in the 1BAMR remote per the Firstech RF-150R manual. Remove the back Phillips screw, separate the case carefully, replace the cell, and reassemble — no programming required for battery swap. Confirm CM1000-K / R150; some sibling one-button remotes use two CR2016 instead.
How to replace it
| How to open | Remove the small Phillips screw on the back of the remote, then gently pull the case apart without touching the circuit board. Replace with one fresh 27A / A27 cell matching polarity, then reassemble. |

| Orientation | Match the orientation of the factory cell |
| Access | tool_assisted |
| Notes | CompuStar: no programming required when replacing the battery on this remote. |
Important
- Sibling CompuStar one-button remotes such as P1BAMR / 1BAMR-C / 1BAMR-900SH use two CR2016 cells — not A27. Confirm CM1000-K / R150 on the transmitter.
- A27 is thinner than A23; both are 12V specialty cells — do not force the wrong diameter.
- Not a Samsung Galaxy A27 phone battery.

New battery but still not working?
A fresh 1 × A27 should restore CompuStar CM1000-K (R150) if the battery was the problem. Work through the checks below before replacing the device.
- Check orientation
Confirm the cell is seated correctly: Match the orientation of the factory cell
- Check the battery type
This device needs 1 × A27 (alkaline). Rechargeable cells are not supported for this device. Same size does not always mean the same battery.
- Check known model-specific issues
Sibling CompuStar one-button remotes such as P1BAMR / 1BAMR-C / 1BAMR-900SH use two CR2016 cells — not A27. Confirm CM1000-K / R150 on the transmitter. A27 is thinner than A23; both are 12V specialty cells — do not force the wrong diameter. Not a Samsung Galaxy A27 phone battery.
- Confirm the battery itself
Try a known-good fresh cell of the exact code listed above.
- Still not responding?
If a correct, fresh battery installed properly does not restore the device, the fault may be elsewhere — the device may need service or replacement.
